Argentina and Beef

It is pretty well known that the Argentines like their beef. But did you know that the Argentines eat on average 62kg (~137 pounds) of beef annually. Second place goes to the US with only 44kg (~97 pounds).
Another interesting fact is that they only export 20% of their beef? This seems very little to me.

You will see that the beef export situation is about to change, one problem was that the Argentine beef is all range cattle and they are too tough for our tastes - hence the Argentine corned beef- their way of exporting.

It may be all range cattle, but it is about the most tender beef I have tried. I had heard this before, but I really disagree. The beef is outstanding.
