Breaking news - Raul Castro is current leader of Cuba
July 31, 2006Fidel has temporarily handed over all his powers to his brother Raul. He is in the hospital with severe intestinal disorders.
Does this mean there was some nugget of truth in the rumors the last couple of weeks of his death? Stay tuned to the blogosphere for more news.
Update EST 20:37 This was announced on Cuban TV. I got it from CNN en Espanol. So far there is no news on Prensa Latina or Granma.
