FARC kills 10 and seizes 170 imperialist timber workers

From Xinhua comes the story that Colombia’s FARC rebels seize 170 timber workers as human shields. FARC is a favorite group of Denmarks leftish political parties.

Five of the hostages, who managed to escape, said that the FARC rebels had accused them of collaborating with the paramilitary forces they were fighting.

These defenders of the people are systematically killing and kidnapping people, especially close to the Panamanian border. In particularly they have victimized the Wounan tribe and forced them to more or less give up their homeland by tactically killing of their cacique’s (tribal chiefs).

Very little of this gets reported in Scandinavia which means they means FARC keeps their image as cool bearded rebels with the young and the dense in Denmark. In particularly this group of useful idiots Oprør who actively collect money for FARC. Read this excerpt of a thank you note that FARC sent them so they could publish it:

From the rebellious jungle of Colombia we send you a brotherly salute to all who have helped with the collection to FARC-EP. Your initiative is reason and solidarity’s beautiful and brave challenge to the anti-terror law that attempts to deny Dane’s the right to support the just fights of the people for independence and liberty.

We are an armed people. We aim to take control and create a new government that will create a real democracy, social justice and peace. We formed 40 years ago when government forces from Colombia and the US attacked the region of Marquetalia. Ever since then the US government has increased it’s direct involvement in Colombia’s internal conflict under various pretexts. Now it is the war on terror that has to cover for all of Washington’s desire for our oil, gas, coal, water and biodiversity. The American Southern Command has developed and lead “Plan Colombia” and “Patriot Plan”, that has as it’s goal to destroy all resistance to the empires geopolitical strategy and in particular the FTAA free trade agreement. FTAA is a neo-liberal policy, that for Latin America is the new version of the chains of the colonial times.

You are of the same mold as the Danes, who fought with weapons and dignity against the Nazi occupation under the 2nd world war. We are sure that you will understand the feelings that have made FARC’s guerilla soldiers use our legitimate right to use arms against an unjust regime, that opresses Colombia. It is a right that all the people of the world have in common.

Dear friends, please accept our embraces and our admiration of your invaluable solidarity.

I guess from the above the families of the timber workers as well as the displaced Wounan indians should really be happy and grateful for FARC. All the people who apparently imagined going to vote this spring in the elections are probably just indoctrinated.

But in reality with letters like that, it is understandable that 20 something escapees from the comfortable Danish suburbs are desperately trying to find another group of bearded folks to make themselves feel like they have a place in this world.
