International mass murder celebration day
May 01, 2006As I’m writing this the social democratic party and lots of trade unions are celebrating their day not far from me with no doubt lots of singing, banners and beer. A bit further away assorted communists, autonomous and anti globalization groups are celebrating. Today is May day. The International day of the Worker.
Most of the world outside the US still celebrates this day as a quasi holiday. But what is it exactly they are celebrating? Historically the Social Democratic party and the Communist party are linked. In Denmark they split from each other about 100 or so years ago, but they still celebrate their marxist past with this day. I used to love it as a kid as my Dad would take me out of school. When I joined the Social Democratic Youth as a 13 year old I was able to take part in the marches proudly carrying banners.
Now 25 or so years later I do of course realize that May 1 is not a day for celebration. Every year on this day I try to remember the 100 million + victims of socialism during the 20th century. Thankfully we don’t see those kinds of numbers today but I also like to remember the current victims of Communism in Cuba, Colombia, Panama, North Korea, Belarus, China and I’m sure elsewhere.
And Social Democrats should also remember their welfare plan for Africa that has killed and continues without shame killing millions of people in Famine in recent years.

For you? Chloraform and strapping tape. Or a magazine. Go with the one without the federal charges.
